He has performed and recorded with John Scofield, Dr. Lonnie Smith, John Lee Hooker, Charlie Hunter, and Stanton Moore, bringing a distinctive blend of jazz, funk, blues, and New Orleans groove to every performance. A true New Orleans original, Donald Harrison is an internationally celebrated saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and cultural ambassador. A former member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Harrison has performed and recorded with Miles Davis, Roy Haynes, Ron Carter, Terence Blanchard, and Dr. John.
